This project was an experiment in transferring a print from a laser printer to timber.
The pyrography pen worked but the quality of the transfer was terrible. So then I tested an iron, but this wouldn’t get hot enough.
Back to the pyrography pen but I was just not happy with the quality. I checked the box of ends and found one that looked more like a flat head screwdriver tip. This worked perfectly.
Doing the transfer is rather easy. Print onto standard paper using a laser printer and apply heat to transfer the toner to your timber. Make sure you remember to reverse your text or image before printing.
After you have transferred the print, cover it with some sort of sealer.
