I needed to cleanly cut a number of 2×4’s in half but I didn’t own a table saw.
I came up with this contraption. A circular saw clamped to some timber resting on two saw horses.
It worked, but very dangerous. At one stage the timber jammed ripping the saw out of the clamps.
I would highly recommend people buying a table saw rather than resorting to this method.
As far as I know, most circular saws don’t have a riving knife. This increases the danger significantly with this DIY table saw, along with no blade guard.
